Mai has spent 16 years as a synchronized swimmer and competed for 10. Mai’s first role as a professional performer at age 18 was in Japan at “Matsuri” as a synchronized swimmer and martial arts dancer.
After “Matsuri” Mai coached synchronized swimming while attendion an Aerial Circus School in Tokyo. Soon after graduating in 2011 Mai was brought on to “O”, Cirque du Soleil’s famous water based show. In October of that same year Mai transferred to Cirque du Soleil’s “Mystere” where she was further developed as an aerialist.
Mai currently performs as the Aerial Silk solo performer in “Mystere”. You can learn from Mai’s expertise at Aerial Athletica where she teaches Aerial Silks as well as Doubles Stretch classes.
